Kershaw Cryo

Kershaw Cryo 2 was my first EDC blade. It’s an excellent choice. Cheap but tough as nails. Can’t go wrong with it.

The [Cryo has been really popular in the past and wouldn't be a terrible choice. It's getting kind of dated though and it's really heavy. If you don't HAVE to have an assist, you'll have some much better options. Good assisted knives generally aren't AS good as good un-assisted knives.

Thus far after 10 years of budget blades, I'd say the Kershaw Cryo and QSP Penguin. The Cryo by Hinderer can do anything, is extremely strong in the hand due to balance and geometry, and has the best chamfering and deburring of any knife I have ever held, save Victorinox.

I like the overall heft of the knife. Some knives come across as light to the point of feeling delicate. This knife feels good weight wise, without being heavy.
