 The flipper has nicely done jimping for fingertip traction. All edges are radiused and finished. The handle shape is fantastic for a secure hold and the aluminum scales are roughed up slightly for a good grip. The overall size is what is for me the max comfortable pocket carry size

Bigger knives like the BM Barrage take up most of the jeans pocket. This Link is slim enough and just shorter enough to leave pocket room for keys and coins and a hand

  The 420HC steel of the Link is plenty good enough for most purposes. It requires sharpening more often than the S30V but it is a well proven blade stainless steel. I don’t generally like liner locks since you must put your finger in the blade path of travel to unlock it. Use focused attention always when closing one

  The blades of the two knives are very similar: same length, same thickness with a tapered back and point though the Link has a sharper point and slightly more belly, same length of handle and overall, both have quality scales over sturdy stainless liners, same handle thickness. Superb quality, easy fast opening medium knife

 A qtr turn on the locking nut fixed that without loosening the blade...now it works perfectly

5", not 3.25" as was mentioned in one of the 3 blade descriptions on the Amazon site. Really good value. Started off as a 4-star blade out of the box

Very sharp with premium/super premium steel

I really like my Link and carry it most days. I used to carry my Cryo_2, but I like this better (good steel, feels good). The blade is large enough and 'beefy' enough to take everyday use. The only thing I wish was designed different is that it has a frame lock, that requires one to push it to the side (and thus putting a finger in the path of the blade) when folding

Great everyday knife. Looks good and is practical for tough jobs.

 That was easy enough to sharpen to a point however. With the Link, I found that after I deployed the blade, the lock was very strong, with no blade play. Additionally, some people have concerns about flippers deploying in their pockets and cutting their leg. Obviously caution should always be taken when you're walking a round with a sharp knife, it's not your phone and keys, it's a potential weapon

 That said, the flipping mechanism, though fast and fluid in its movements when you hit the switch, is heavy enough where I imagine it would take unusual pressure to have it deploy by accident. If you want a fast, satisfying, sharp flip knife, Kershaw makes some of my favorites.

 While I did not observe any design flaws with the lock or flipper mechanism, I imagine some factory flaws might exist. When I first go the Headgrille I was surprised to find the tip a little blunt. That was easy enough to sharpen to a point however. With the Link, I found that after I deployed the blade, the lock was very strong, with no blade play

This blade, the Link, and the other Kershaw knife I own, the Headgrille, a sadly discontinued spring assisted flipper, are really solid designs and work well when you need a blade deployed fast with one hand. The Link is smaller and lighter than the Headgrille, and that would perhaps be my only complaint here. I preferred the heavy metal body of the Headgrille, which could be used as a glass breaker in an emergency, over the Link which feels about as light as a Swiss Army Knife in your pocket.  The handle is plastic layered over the metal frame. The handle has the letter "K" for Kershaw stamped all over it that provides a next texture to improve grip.  I will update the review later to reflect the knives ability to hold and edge through use and it durability over time.  Update 4/5: I am finding it difficult to sharpen and maintain a decent edge on this knife.While I really like the design, size and feel of the knife in my hand (gave two as gifts to family members), the difficulty in keeping it sharp is finding it less in my rotation as an EDC knife. So I am removing one star from my review

 The blade has a rounded indentation for your pointer finger. Since it is a shorter knife, your pinky finger wraps round bottom of handle, but in a comfortable way.  The Blade: the blade is short and rounded with a curved indentation at the base that accommodates your pointer finger and becomes part of the handle when open and in use. As with most the knives the blade comes pretty dull, but was easy to sharpen

Bought a spyderco efficient as a beater,  solid knife... decent edge and feels like it's built like a tank

Worst nkd ever. I bought this to be a beater work knife and I already regret it, it takes another knife just to close it. 45 dollars worth of doodoo.

 It was very sharp out of the box and seems to have held it's edge well so far, but the tip was very blunt. I tried to use it to pop the sealed air that came in the Amazon packaging and it required quite a bit of effort-my Spyderco pierced through the same packing like a needle.  The build quality is just not up to par with the Cryo. The action isn't very smooth

Today on the shuffle there is a 3070 Ti for $1000, and two 3080’s for $1200. I thought this was supposed to be a way to avoid scalper prices.

Newegg Shuffle is basically scalper prices

  In closing, You want a small knife that will open boxes gut deer or shred seatbelts in a car crash this will do it just fine. Can you get a better knife with better steel that’s made in America for $200 that does the same thing is this little dandy sure. But at sub $20 for a pocket knife with chrome moly steel it can’t be beat.

Just want to say three years into using this as an everyday knife in a first responders pocket and it has stood the test of time. A great start into carrying a small knife with modest steel and good ergonomics.  The pros, lightweight, easy to open with a thumb and flick also easy to close one handed. Smooth from the box to three years down the road

 This little dude is perfect for keeping in your car for that occasional need or keep on a lanyard. It's extremely light but heavy enough that you can tell it is well made and not just cheap plastic. For $20 this was a win win.  Although, it's not perfect
