 The flipper has nicely done jimping for fingertip traction. All edges are radiused and finished. The handle shape is fantastic for a secure hold and the aluminum scales are roughed up slightly for a good grip. The overall size is what is for me the max comfortable pocket carry size

Bigger knives like the BM Barrage take up most of the jeans pocket. This Link is slim enough and just shorter enough to leave pocket room for keys and coins and a hand

  The 420HC steel of the Link is plenty good enough for most purposes. It requires sharpening more often than the S30V but it is a well proven blade stainless steel. I don’t generally like liner locks since you must put your finger in the blade path of travel to unlock it. Use focused attention always when closing one

 A qtr turn on the locking nut fixed that without loosening the blade...now it works perfectly

Very sharp with premium/super premium steel

I really like my Link and carry it most days. I used to carry my Cryo_2, but I like this better (good steel, feels good). The blade is large enough and 'beefy' enough to take everyday use. The only thing I wish was designed different is that it has a frame lock, that requires one to push it to the side (and thus putting a finger in the path of the blade) when folding

Great everyday knife. Looks good and is practical for tough jobs.

 That was easy enough to sharpen to a point however. With the Link, I found that after I deployed the blade, the lock was very strong, with no blade play. Additionally, some people have concerns about flippers deploying in their pockets and cutting their leg. Obviously caution should always be taken when you're walking a round with a sharp knife, it's not your phone and keys, it's a potential weapon

 That said, the flipping mechanism, though fast and fluid in its movements when you hit the switch, is heavy enough where I imagine it would take unusual pressure to have it deploy by accident. If you want a fast, satisfying, sharp flip knife, Kershaw makes some of my favorites.

 While I did not observe any design flaws with the lock or flipper mechanism, I imagine some factory flaws might exist. When I first go the Headgrille I was surprised to find the tip a little blunt. That was easy enough to sharpen to a point however. With the Link, I found that after I deployed the blade, the lock was very strong, with no blade play

This blade, the Link, and the other Kershaw knife I own, the Headgrille, a sadly discontinued spring assisted flipper, are really solid designs and work well when you need a blade deployed fast with one hand. The Link is smaller and lighter than the Headgrille, and that would perhaps be my only complaint here. Additionally, the light weight of the Link does not equal soft, flimsy quality, as I've found with some knifes from Spyderco for instance. This knife could probably take a beating

The popular 0562 from Zero Tolerance and Rick Hinderer now has a Titanium Handle. The 0562TI also offers a premium CPM 20CV steel blade with Rick's exclusive Hinderer "slicer" Grind. This blade grind Provides both slicing efficiency and a tough point. The 20CV powdered steel blade provides high wear resistance and corrosion resistance—enabling a hair-popping edge that lasts for a long time, even under hard use. The knife opens with a flipper and moves out of the handle with it's smooth kvt ball-bearing opening system. Kit's "caged" Ball bearings surround the pivot and make opening the knife nearly frictionless; just pull back on the flipper and add a roll of the wrist and the 0562TI is ready to go to work. For secure lock up during use, ZT uses a frame lock with hardened steel lock bar inserts and lock bar stabilization so the lock won't overextend.  Okay, YouTubers, now we have what I consider a worthy Zero Tolerance 0393 model to review. This ZT-0393 is based on the Hinderer Eclipse model with a Harpoon Spanto blade. I have kind of a combination and it also has the working finish, so let me go ahead and bring out the working finish just so you can kind of see how it compares. They're pretty similar

 No problem with the manufacturer of them, they are just that design. I literally want somebody, if you make it this far in the video, I want somebody to give me a good use case for why these would be better than just covering the whole thing. Because the scales that I had to put on, they solve all the problems. They solve the problems of like, you know, backside flipping with your finger, just because it keeps your hands off that lock bar

 Okay, we are going to swap out these crappy ass carbon fiber scales, they're not crappy because of the construction of them, just because of the design with these swoops here, leaving exposed the working finish, especially when they moved to the working finish version of this, versus the standard satin blade, and I think it was blackened here, but this just looks a little bit dorky, so we're going to swap this guy out, I'm obviously going to need a T8 on the pivot here, and T6 for the other little hardware stuffs, and we will go ahead and swap this guy out, I will jump into some fast forward mode here. No problem with the manufacturer of them, they are just that design. This is another great offering from ZT. Seller shipped quickly and packaged very well. Knife arrived razor sharp with a nice even grind, blade perfectly centered with solid lock up. Flipper action silky smooth, opens easily almost feels assisted
