Civivi Imperium vs Kershaw Cryo

One day, I forgot to do this. The next morning I woke up went to grab this knife for work and found rust. Not rust you can wipe off either, straight up deep rust. I don't know if it's a bad run, isolated incident or what but the customer service didn't make it any better

Materials, fit and finish and feel in hand are all better on the civivi for almost half the price. Lock up and action on the civivi is just as good feeling as the benchmade but the BM does have the axis lock if that means a lot to you. The quality of the civivi is shocking for the price.

Despite clearly having worked hard to comply with the letter of the law, I really can't have something on me that screams weapon quite like this does. Sigh.

It’s no super steel but is ideal for most of my needs; definitely not a junk steel. Nothing about this knife feels cheap. Blade is centered, bevels are even, edge came very sharp. Very good value for the money

So, yeah, there are better knives. There are bigger knives. There are better looking, more elegant knives. But for what you pay for it, and what you get in terms of design and build quality, this is a great value

The knife is pretty ergonomic and comfortable but it’s extremely aggravating to spend almost $100 on a blade and it break 3 weeks in.

Kershaw Cryo 2 was my first EDC blade. It’s an excellent choice. Cheap but tough as nails. Can’t go wrong with it

The machine cuts (or jimping) along the lower inside and upper outside edges of the handle and the lower top edge of the blade add just the right amount of traction to an otherwise almost-too-smooth grip. When open, the "flipper" lever rotates around to become the perfect finger stop at the top of the already nicely contoured handle. It fits MY hand very well.
